I have had the privilege of hosting Known Wishes workshops at the Seattle Public Library. Their classes are high quality, and they have a wonderful way of engaging participants, making them feel comfortable enough to discuss tough topics. Thank you for the important work you do!
Everything about your presentation was so good: your organization, your knowledge, and your sharing of your special interest in the topic, which came through and made it all the more easy to absorb facts about such a difficult subject. The preparation of the information packet was excellent, allowing us to take our time to digest it. You should definitely take this show on the road to various workshops everywhere you can! Known wishes for future presentations will surely be inspired by your approach.
Wow! The Known Wishes event that we hosted was hugely attended and truly appreciated, both for its practical aspect (we love having forms that we don't have to track down) and the human element of doing this hard work. Both Wendy and Kay were absolutely fabulous, and we are excited to have them back for more workshops to present to another group!
My company hosted Known Wishes for a series of workshops aimed at our clients. We received rave reviews and all 10 out of 10s in our follow-up survey. This is important content - it was delivered in a polished, comfortable, and educational way.
As a now-retired writer for two nursing homes and one retirement community, I have read many books and attended numerous workshops on end-of-life matters; but none compare to the caliber of Known Wishes! Their thoughtful, comprehensive, and compassionate approach guides participants in addressing this scary, complicated topic better than any I've ever experienced. I highly recommend it!
As the activities director at a retirement community, I have had the pleasure of working with Wendy Norman and her staff for workshops that educate our residents about end of life planning. They also provide in-depth 1:1 consultations for their clients, ensuring that everyone’s Known Wishes are respected. I cannot recommend them highly enough; their knowledge and kindness truly stand out.
I attended an excellent Known Wishes workshop today. There was an abundance of valuable information and numerous resources shared! I thought I had everything in order that I needed to, but I learned that’s not entirely the case. I have some work to do. I would highly recommend their workshops and encourage everyone to take advantage of the resources available on their website. Do your family and friends a favor and ensure your affairs are in order. Let them know your desires now while you are able to. Have those important conversations and also put them into writing. It’s challenging enough to deal with the loss of a loved one without having to sort out all the end-of-life details at that time.
Your joint presentations were outstanding. All this literature on Known Wishes is sitting on the top of my desk and will stay there until I complete it to my satisfaction. Thank you for the encouragement to delve into the workshops so I can create my own Known Wishes plan. I'm actually looking forward to it.
A shout out to Wendy Norman who just concluded the best end of life workshop at Ida Culver House Broadview I've ever attended -- and there have been more than a few in my lifetime. It's an added bonus to know that Robb Miller is also on your team, continuing his remarkable life's work with Known Wishes.
Why is end-of-life planning a topic we tend to avoid, even though death is inevitable? Thankfully, Known Wishes exists to help ease the stigma and provide valuable information! I had the privilege of attending a Known Wishes workshop called Worry-Free Wednesdays a few months ago, and I left feeling inspired to get my affairs in order. The presenters, Wendy and Rob, are incredibly knowledgeable about the details and intricacies of end-of-life planning. Since attending the workshop, I now feel more responsible and truly “worry-free,” knowing I have expressed my wishes to my grown children and have the appropriate documents in place. I’ve also shared the KnownWishes.com site with many friends, as it’s a fantastic resource, but I highly recommend attending a workshop if you have the chance!
Attending Wendy Norman’s Known Wishes workshop in Seattle a few years ago not only helped me establish a plan, but I also learned how to communicate that end-of-life plan with my family, highlighting its importance. Wendy makes a very overwhelming subject approachable and actionable. Now, with the plan in place, I know that my finances, my will, and all the many logins I have across financial accounts are shared and documented. This gives me peace of mind knowing my loved ones will have less burden if something were to happen.
RevelEleven hosted the Known Wishes End-of-Life Planning event in 2019, which drew over 100 women. This event was one of our most interactive workshops and has garnered some of the best audience feedback since our organization began six years ago. Following this success, we have organized several follow-up workshops, including Worry-Free Wednesdays, each achieving a remarkable balance of intimacy, knowledge, and value. Navigating such a delicate topic requires a unique set of skills, and Wendy Norman and her team are excellent resources for handling these complexities with both professionalism and sensitivity!
Known Wishes is an amazing resource that offers invaluable support during difficult times. As I navigate the end of life worries and complications with my mother, I find this website incredibly helpful. It provides access to videos, forms, and experts to contact, among other resources. The tremendous planning and research behind Known Wishes takes away the guesswork for those of us who are already emotionally drained from this vulnerable experience. Additionally, their workshops offer further guidance, making the entire process intelligent, viable, and truly amazing!
Known Wishes is an extremely credible, knowledgeable, and engaging group of individuals who provide informative materials and actionable advice through their workshops. Their deep expertise can help anyone understand the process, and their real-world experience makes them a trustworthy partner.
I gained so much knowledge from Wendy and her team during their workshops on end-of-life planning. I feel that I am ready to make educated decisions regarding my known wishes. I would highly recommend them; they are a great resource.
As a longtime colleague and fan of Known Wishes founder Wendy Norman, I greatly appreciate that she and her team are addressing a critical need: providing easy access to comprehensive and comprehensible information on end-of-life choices for Washingtonians. Known Wishes’ mission is clear and purposeful, with its consultants being professional, compassionate, and dedicated to offering customized support in a sensitive area we all dread but must eventually confront. Dying is not one-size-fits-all, and neither should planning for it be. I am grateful to Team Known Wishes for their commitment to the community, and I highly recommend their workshops for anyone looking to navigate these important decisions.
It’s easy to become overwhelmed with the thought of planning for your end of life. When feeling this way, many of us (myself included) often choose to ignore the topic altogether. The workshops by Known Wishes were thoughtful, educational, and the perfect mix of information, tools, and levity. Wendy has compiled valuable step-by-step guidance on this important but often neglected subject, allowing us to consider our end of life and, even more importantly, equipping us to plan for it.
The workshop on Known Wishes was amazing. It was incredibly helpful to receive directives for myself, my aging parent, and my adult children. Wendy and her team are extremely knowledgeable and presented the information in a straightforward, kind way. This is a sensitive subject matter, but I'm feeling so much better having attended. This workshop would be valuable for anyone in any stage of life who wants to be prepared. I walked away feeling calm, knowing I now have a plan and the resources to accomplish it.
I attended the Known Wishes workshop last week at Seattle's Townhall, and it was life-changing. My husband and I left knowing that we need to have some personal conversations about how we want to respectfully leave this world and what we want our legacies to be. The Known Wishes workshop was empowering, not sad. The energy, confidence, and experience that Wendy, Robb, and the entire team brought to the sensitive topic of end-of-life made me want to manage it versus avoid it. Thank you to the Worry-free team... no worries here, only empowerment.
I cannot recommend Known Wishes highly enough. Wendy and her team provide invaluable end-of-life advice in a way that is both compassionate and professional. I’ve had the pleasure of inviting them to present workshops to our clients on three occasions, with a fourth session already scheduled for the spring.
Their workshops are incredibly thorough, addressing all the key aspects of end-of-life planning while remaining easy to follow. Wendy has a natural talent for making complex topics approachable, ensuring everyone feels comfortable and engaged. Her pacing is perfect—never rushed, yet always keeping things moving forward in a way that respects everyone's time.
Perhaps most importantly, Wendy and her team create a safe, judgment-free space where participants feel encouraged to ask questions and reflect on the decisions that matter most to them and their families. The advice they provide is practical, actionable, and always delivered with a sense of empathy and care.
Known Wishes has made a lasting impact on our clients, helping them navigate these critical conversations with confidence and peace of mind. I wholeheartedly recommend their services to anyone seeking expert guidance in end-of-life planning.
